Stay here for a little while more Cause it’s the funny things Yes it’s the funny things I need a friend Not an angel What do you do when the drowning stops
And what you though was a hurricane Was just the rustling of the wind Why you think we need amazing grace Just to tell it like it is Well, I don’t need no doctor to tear me all apart I just need you, to mend my heart
If I could just get $85 for a 4 day pass, skip school Friday, see Dr. Dog +all the other bands that day, camp out that night at Lake Ray Roberts, stay in Denton all day Saturday and see Local Natives +the other bands, I guess go home, and come back Sunday to listen to more.
If I could just do that. That would be awesome. And it’d all start off my Spring Break.
There’s nothing to keep you from falling in love. It starts at the bottom and comes from above.
Like pieces of a puzzle, like a hand in a glove She gets dressed up like a pillow so she’s always in bed
Flowers for the sick and dead She’s on the go, way too fast and way too slow She’ll turn and stop at hospitals and funeral homes and when the tide rises somebody sinks and is gone in the blink of an eye
Can you lie next to her and give her your heart, your heart? As well as your body, and can you lie next to her and confess your love, your love? As well as your folly and can you kneel before the king and say ‘I’m clean’, ‘I’m Clean’?
But tell me now where was my fault, in loving you with my whole heart? Her white blank page & a swelling rage, rage You did not think when you sent me to the brink, the brink You desired my attention but denied my affections, affections
But tell me now where was my fault, in loving you with my whole heart. Lead my to the truth and I will follow you with my whole life
“Power to the people
We don’t want it
We want pleasure
And the T.V.s try to rape us
And I guess that they’re succeeding
Now we’re going to these meetings
But we’re not doin’ any meetin’
And we’re trying to be faithful
But we’re cheatin’, cheatin’, cheatin’”—Hero, Regina Spektor
